Seven chakras

The 7 Chakras – A Beginners Guide To Your Energy System

What on Earth is a Chakra?

In many spiritual and healing disciplines, and in the world of complementary medicine the words Chakra pops up quite a bit. That’s fine if you know it they meana; not so great, and I must say pretty confusing, if you don’t. Here’s our simple summary of the 7 Chakras that covers what a Chakra is, and what the Chakra System is all about?

The 7 Chakras are the energy centers in our body in which energy flows through.

The word ‘chakra’ is derived from the sanskrit word meaning ‘wheel’. Literally translated from the Hindi it means ‘Wheel of spinning Energy’. A chakra is like a whirling, vortex like, powerhouse of energy. Within our bodies you have seven of these major energy centres and many more minor ones.

You can think of chakras as invisible, rechargeable batteries.

They are charged and recharged through contact with the stream of cosmic energy in the atmosphere in much the same way that your home is connected to a central power source within a city – the only difference is that this cosmic energy source is free.

Imagine this, a vertical power current rather like a fluorescent tube that runs up and down the spine, from the top of the head to the base of the spine. Think of this as your main source of energy. The seven major chakras are in the centre of the body and are aligned with this vertical “power line. ”

Chakras connect your spiritual bodies to your physical one.

They regulate the flow of energy throughout the electrical network (meridians) that runs through the physical body. The body’s electrical system resembles the wiring in a house. It allows electrical current to be sent to every part, and is ready for use when needed.

Sometimes chakras become blocked because of stress, emotional or physical problems. If the body’s ‘energy system’ can not flow freely it is likely that problems will occur. The consequence of irregular energy flow may result in physical illness and discomfort or a sense of being mentally and emotionally out of balance.

This image shows where the main chakras in are located in your body. You can read a brief, yet full explanation for each chakra below.

*How to Empty and Free your Mind!* 〰

*How to Empty and Free your Mind!*
〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰

A nice story of Adi Shankaracharya teaching his students how to empty and free their mind:

"Adi Sankara was walking through the market place with his disciples.

They saw a man dragging a cow by a rope.

Sankara told the man to wait and asked his disciples to surround them.

“I am going to teach you something” and continued...

“ *Tell me who is bound to whom?* Is the cow bound to this man or the man is bound to the cow?"

The disciples said without hesitation “Of course the cow is bound to the man!. The man is the master. He is holding the rope. The cow has to follow him wherever he goes. The man is the master and the cow is the slave.”

“Now watch this”, said Sankara and took a pair of scissors from his bag and cut the rope.

The cow ran away from the master and the man ran after his cow. “Look, what is happening”, said Sankara

_“Do you see who the Master is? The cow is not at all interested in this man. The cow in fact, is trying to escape from this man._

*This is the case with our MIND.*

Like the cow, all the non-sense that we carry inside is not interested in us. WE ARE INTERESTED IN IT, we are keeping it together somehow or the other. We are going crazy trying to keep it all together under our control.

The moment we lose interest in all the garbage filled in our head, and the moment we understand the futility of it, it will start to disappear. Like the cow, it will escape and disappear.”

*Feeling Free and Relaxed is a Choice!*

The power of Mantra

*The power of Mantra*

The word “ Mantra” is derived from two words. “Mana’ the mind which thinks and “Trai” or to protect. Thus mantra is the science of training the mind by repeatedly chanting the Mantra to protect one’s self. The power of Mantra is the ultimate protection if it is chanted repeatedly thousands of times in our life, with ultimate devotion and with a sprit of surrender and not just repeatedly chanting a fixed number of times as a mechanical ritual. It is the most secret and most sacred of activity that one undertakes to seek protection or to seek fulfillment of one’s desires in life from the lord.
Absolute faith and a spirit of surrender is necessary.A Mantra is a mystical formula composed of letters ( or phonemes) and words that is meaningful to the person who is chanting the mantra.

The mantra is a collection of “Akshara’’ categorized into a set of 5 alphabets in Sanskrit, meant to raise the Kundalini Shakti from the muladhara Chakra to the visudha Chakra in the first stage and either with or without a material objective in view. In this stage mantra is recited verbally in a specific rhythm a specific number of times daily. If it is done properly with single minded devotion, it is bound to give success in the material world by fulfilling material desires as well as all desires related to the Physical Plane of consciousness. In different stages of the practice both quantitatively and qualitatively.

*What is a Mantra?*

A mantra is composed of psychically potent sound syllables that are capable of influencing the human system both physically and spiritually. They can excite the emotions and give suggestion to the mind. They influence both the one who chants them and the one hears them. The word mantra comes from the Sanskrit word Mantrana, which means advice or suggestions. According to the Upanishads, the original abode of the mantra was the "Parma Akesh" or primeval ether, the eternal and immutable substratum of the universe.

*How does a Mantra work?*

A mantra is also an energy field composed of certain frequencies that have a pattern of their own and a vibration field that creates different intonation. These frequencies and the sympathetic overtones generated by them influence our sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous, which are spread in a fine neural network through our internal organs in the body. The sympathetic response generates the Nero-motor response and influences two hemisphere of the human cerebral cortex.

*Effect of mantra*

Mantra practice involves the left hemisphere of the brain and is therefore effective in increasing positive emotions. The intonation and melody, which are the essential parts of Mantras, remove negative emotions. In association with a Yantra or a picture of a deity - the mantra also provides the right hemisphere with a concrete visual image of the object of emotional attention or "Bhakti" - devotion.This is the way mantra affects the emotional self. Spiritual sounds may be poems, chants, prayers or hymns all create emotional frequencies and open new dimensions in our consciousness. The practice of Mantra is more than a suggestion or an idea. It is a means of getting in touch with our inner self. This is the essence of "Bhakti Yoga" - which is the simplest and the most effective way by which we can connect to the supreme and infinite consciousness.

The third eye's powers

💖💖💖💖💖

*🌸THE THIRD EYE’S POWERS*🌸

third-eye
The third eye is an invisible eye… to the naked eye! It is an inner eye located between the eyebrows. It is also called “the eye of the soul” or the “eye of knowledge“. It makes it possible to gain access to high spiritual knowledge and to our extrasensory abilities. Many traditions refer to the third eye, saying it can bring ultimate self-knowledge and lead to the greatest truth. It can also trigger higher states of awareness.

Influence of Oriental traditions
In Hinduism, the third eye is precisely located at the level of the sixth chakra called Ajna chakra or chakra of ultimate knowledge, which is located between the eyebrows. Chakras are invisible energy centers placed along the backbone. The knowledge they enable people to attain has nothing to do with an accumulation of information through a teaching process. This knowledge is not book-based but intuitive.

The tenth door
In the Upanishads, one of the most sacred books in Hinduism, it is said that Man possesses ten doors. The first nine ones (the eyes, the two ears, the mouth, the navel, the nose, the anus and the bladder) grant access to the outside world of the senses. The tenth door, which is imperceptible to the human eye, is the third eye. It opens the door to inner spiritual knowledge.

In Hinduism, one of the goals in life is to manage to open this tenth door because it is the most important one for our spiritual evolution.

In Buddhism, the third eye is also the eye of supreme knowledge. It is often represented by a point on the forehead of Buddha’s statues as well as on the forehead of great Buddhism teachers to show that they have attained Ultimate Knowledge, also called Awakening or Nirvana.

The third eye notion can also be found in Taoism, which is an old Chinese religion. There are ways to awaken it.

Access to the highest teachings
Opening the third eye grants immediate access to the most secret spiritual teachings in the world. No need to spend years studying to acquire this information. In order to gain access to the subtle knowledge that explains all the great secrets of the universe, you just need to open it through adequate ways. Awakening the third eye also makes it possible to see beyond material reality, and gain instantaneous access to the past and future… whether it is your past or future or that of other beings.

The third eye and the West
The third eye is not just an oriental notion. It also exists in the West – in Western spiritual currents like the Rosicrucian Fellowship (American spiritual organization founded by Max Heindel [1865-1919]).

Its founder was the first to locate the third eye in the brain – the pineal gland. The great French philosopher Descartes even said the pineal gland was the seat of the soul.

In many Western traditions, it is said that the third eye is essential if you want to attain spiritual awareness.

The pineal gland is well-known by the medical community and often considered in the West to be a third eye lying dormant. It is located between the brain’s hemispheres.

States of Higher Awareness
The pineal gland produces a substance called dimethyltryptamine (DMT) – an extremely powerful psychotropic substance able to impact the nervous system. When this substance is released, it modifies humans’ perception and sensations. It can lead to altered states of awareness, higher levels of reality, far removed from the usual one! Secreting DMT can give rise to near death experiences – people coming back to life all saying they crossed a tunnel of light and met the deceased, saints, or even God!

Karma

⭕ *KARMA*

Once a foreigner interested in the philosophy of Hinduism was waiting for darshan of Mahaperiyaval at Kanchi to clarify his doubts Shortly when he met Him and without wasting any time, he put forth his question. “Swamiji, I understand all your concepts, value them but for one particular faith (i.e) same soul taking various births, papa, punya being carried forward to the next births etc…Can you please make me comfortable on this aspect?”. Because, in all our religions, we get the reward for what we do in this birth only. (i.e) if we are honest, God is pleased and blesses us with benefits and we are dishonest, we get punished by Him.

At this point, Maha Periyaval asked him, whether he owns a car and if he could do a favour of collecting some statistical information within Kancheepuram using his vehicle. The guest readily agreed, at the same time wondering why his question was not answered spontaneously.

Please, Swamiji, go ahead, “What is the service you expect me to do now?”.

Periyaval said, ‘Please go around 10 maternity centres within Kancheepuram and collect the data of children born within the last 2 days – Child’ s gender, health condition, parents name, status, educational qualification, time of birth.

The man said “Fine, this is nothing` and immediately rushed in his car and within a day he was back with all the exact statistics in front of Mahaperiyaval. He went through the statistics, about 15 children were born in 10 hospitals of which 8 were female and 7 male infants, out of which 3 children had malnutrition defects, 2 children were the the first children of highly rich parents and were born in luxury hospitals while 4 were children of Labourers who already had few children.

Mahaperiyaval now looked at the gentleman and started him asking a few questions: Do you think any of these children have been honest / dishonest within 2 days of their birth? Probably they could not even recognize their own mother. So, they have neither earned papa or punya in this birth, So According to your concepts, all these children should be living exactly identical to each other, but not so practically – some are ill, some are healthy, some are born to rich parents, some are born to poor parents, Remember all children born in the same day, same longtitude, latitude, you can’t blame their horoscope which is going to be almost identical….

The gentleman was dumb folded!

Then Maha Periyaval said ` It is here the concept of previous birth erupts! All these children have taken their present birth according to their Karma and the resultant papa, punya which they have assimilated in their previous births.

_Sanatana Dharma was smiling at the gentleman_.⭕⭕

Human consciousness

HUMAN CONSCIOUSNESS

The illusion behind human consciousness (thoughts, emotion, reasoning) is like a double mirror. First of all there is light (awareness). Because of its nature (sat-cit-ananda) light is aware of itself, light enlights itself. Because of this, the illusion, the first mirror, was born. One has (illusory) became two. Now there is outside and inside, a seer and a seen. A mirror that reflects the light. A sensitive being, like a cell or an animal. Duality was born. Because of the same "property", human consciousness was born: now there is a mirror that reflects the first mirror that is reflecting light. The two has become three. We are aware of the being aware of our body. This is human consciousness. The next step has to "find" and " remember " the light we have "lost". This double mirror is what make us able to see the first illusion, then to understand the second. In seeing that the first mirror is an illusion, that there is not two, we can understand the second. This is non-duality. When we realize non-duality, that there is not two, that light is enlighting itself and that the first mirror is an ilusion than holding on this truth we have to realize the second illusion, the illusion of our consciousness. In the same way someone can first see the illusion of the second mirror, the illusion of consciousness. Than he can realize the illusion of the first mirror and find non-duality.

A small story which beautifully illustrates that what you sow, you reap.

Once upon a time there was a small time business man from a small village who used to sell butter in the nearby town.

A big shop owner in the town was his regular customer.

The villager used to deliver every month the shop owner the required butter in 1 kg blocks and in turn he used to get grocery items like sugar, pulses etc from the big shop owner.

Once the shop owner decided to weigh the butter and to his surprise every block of butter weighed 900 gms. instead of 1kg.

Next month when the villager came to deliver  butter, the angry shop owner told him how he was cheated and told to leave the shop.

To this the villager replied to him courteously, Sir, I am a very poor villager. I don't have enough money to even buy the required weights for weighing the butter. I usually put the 1kg sugar you give me on one side of weighing scale and weigh butter on another side.

This simple story very beautifully illustrates that what we give to others comes back to us. *That is karma!*

Karna asks ...Lord krishna

*KARNA asks 👇 Krishna Bhagawan*

"My mother left me the moment I was born. Is it my fault I was born an illegitimate child?

I did not get the education from Dhronacharya because I was considered not a Kshatriya.

Parshu-Raam taught me but then cursed me to forget everything when he came to know I was Son of Kunthi & belong to Kshatriya.

A cow was accidentally hit by my arrow & its owner cursed me for no fault of mine.

I was disgraced in Draupadi's Swayamvar.

Even Kunthi finally told me the truth only to save her other sons.

Whatever I received was through Duryodhana's charity.

So how am I wrong in taking his side ???"

*Krishna Bhagawan replies👇*

"Karna, I was born in a jail.

Death was waiting for me even before my birth.

The night I was born I was separated from my birth parents.

From childhood, you grew up hearing the noise of swords, chariots, horses, bow, and arrows. I got only cow herd's shed, dung, and multiple attempts on my life even before I could walk!

No Army, No Education. I could hear people saying I am the reason for all their problems.

When all of you were being appreciated for your valour by your teachers I had not even received any education. I joined Gurukula of Rishi Sandipani only at the age of 16!

You are married to a girl of your choice. I didn't get the girl I loved & rather ended up marrying those who wanted me or the ones I rescued from demons.

I had to move my whole community from the banks of Yamuna to far off Sea shore to save them from Jarasandh.

I was called a coward for running away!!

If Duryodhana wins the war you will get a lot of credit. What do I get if Dharmaraja wins the war? Only the blame for the war and all related problems

Remember one thing, Karna! Everybody has Challenges in life to face.

LIFE IS NOT FAIR & EASY ON ANYBODY!!!

But what is Right (Dharma) is known to your mind & conscience. No matter how much unfairness we got, how many times we are Disgraced, how many times we Fall, what is important is how you REACTED at that time.

Life's unfairness does not give you license to walk the wrong path...

Always remember, Life may be tough at few points, but DESTINY is not created by the SHOES we wear but by the STEPS we take..."

*Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum*🙏

SAT and ASAT

The PERMANENT(SAT) & IMPERMANENT(ASAT):
The perspective of the JEEVA;
Though in life there is death of a moment with birth of another moment at all times, yet there is a sense of continuity like that in a movie where the individual pictures are telescoped so rapidly as to give a feeling of uniform continuity.
Looking back in life every moment is death of the past and birth of a future moment as the present.There has been death of the infant and birth of the child, the death of the child and birth of the youth,death of youth and birth of adult,death of the adult and birth of the aged.Then there is death of the body and most mind of this body and birth, after search of another woumb depending on the residual seed of ignorance in form of sanchita karmas(punarapi jananam punarapi maranam,punarapi janani jathare sayanam).This is a state of continuous change.The photos in the album of a Jeeva as a child,youth,adult,aged and the.....are absolutely different from one another in all gross aspects, yet one says that all this as me, without the feeling of change.There is thus something which is permanent and without a change in every body mind which witnesses these changes without being affected by these changes.This is the Atmana so named in the shrutis.
BRAHMAN is "satyam gyanam anantam ";eg. Existence,Consciousness,Bliss,Infinite.
The Scientific perspective:
From birth to death is a process of continuous change.
Change is there in Space and Time.In general relativity there is no separate space and time, rather there is a space time continnum.The changes( birth-death)is there only in space time.Any thing that changes has according to the laws of entropy and enthalpy; is bound to go from organised to disorganised; in other words from birth to death.
That which is changeless thus has to be beyond space and time since everything in space time is changable.
It is also known the entiety beyond space and time is infinity.
Thus except infinity every thing is changing( from birth to death).
Summary:
In me there is an unchanging element which witnesses over the changing gross elements of body mind.Since that unchanging is infinity; and in me there is something unchanging; thus it has to be INFINITY and nothing else.
Mathematically infinity can never be two as one will limit the other infinity and make it finite.
Since BRAHMAN is infinite as per shruti(aitt.up.).
In me the I(atman), the unchangable is infinite witness.Since there can not exist two infinities.The I(atman) and Brahman are bound to be the same infinite.
Thus "aham brahmasmi"
HariOm.TatSat.

Four yugas in different context

I loved the concept:
There are four yugas widely accepted in Hinduism. They are :
1. Satya yug
2. Treta yug (Ramayana)
3. Dwapara yug(Mahabharata)
4. Kal yug(Present)

In Satya yug, the fight was between two worlds (Devalok & Asuralok). Asuralok being the evil, was a different WORLD.

In Treta yug, the fight was between Rama and Ravana. Both rulers from two different COUNTRIES.

In Dwapara yug, the fight was between Pandavas and Kauravas. Both good and evil from the SAME FAMILY.

Kindly note how the evil is getting closer. For example, from a DIFFERENT WORLD to a DIFFERENT COUNTRY to the SAME FAMILY.

Now, know where is the evil in Kaliyug???

It is inside us. Both GOOD AND EVIL LIVE WITHIN. The battle is within us. Who will we give victory to, our inner goodness or the evil within??

Think, identify and fight...

Energy flows where attention goes

*Energy Flows where Attention Goes.*
*Everything in our Universe is Energy.*

```We human beings are also Energy.
So it is very important to learn how Energy flows from from us & how it effects our lives.
When you say,
“ I don’t want War.” You are giving your attention to War and where you give your attention, your Energy will flow there.
Law of Attraction will match your Energy with that and bring it in your Three Dimension reality.
So instead of saying, “ I don’t want War.” you should say
“I want Peace.”
Then your attention is on Peace, so you are giving your Energy to Peace and Law of Attraction will match your Energy with Peace and your life will be Peaceful.
This Universe works on Vibrations.
So similarly change your statements –
– Instead of saying
“ I don’t want to fail.” say
“I want to Win”
– Instead of saying
“I don’t want to be fat.” say
“I want to be slim”
– Instead of saying
“I don’t want to have a struggling job” say
“I want to have a happy and exciting job”
– Instead of saying
“I don’t want to fight with my husband” say
“I want to have a happy relationship with my husband”
and so on..
Our thoughts are very powerful because Energy is transmitted through our thoughts.
If you think and speak about what you don’t want, you will attract what you don’t want!
But if you stop talking and thinking about what you don’t want and change your vocabulary and only think and talk about what you want, then you will start attracting what you want, and what you don’t want will gradually vanish from your life.
I believe from today you will stop thinking and talking about things that you don’t want.
I will suggest you to remove few words from your dictionary like –
Depression/ Hatred/ Failure/ Illness/Disease/ War/ Fights/ Anxiety/ Struggle/ Debt/ Enemies/ Terrible/ Accidents
Changing your thought patterns will help you channelize your Energy & your Life will Change accordingly.
This will then create a Future with Abundance of Happiness, Joy, Peace & Prosperity.```
*God bless* ✨💖✨
How to empty and free your mind!
*How to Empty and Free your Mind!*
〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰
A nice story of Adi Shankaracharya teaching his students how to empty and free their mind:
"Adi Sankara was walking through the market place with his disciples.
They saw a man dragging a cow by a rope.
Sankara told the man to wait and asked his disciples to surround them.
“I am going to teach you something” and continued...
“ *Tell me who is bound to whom?* Is the cow bound to this man or the man is bound to the cow?"
The disciples said without hesitation “Of course the cow is bound to the man!. The man is the master. He is holding the rope. The cow has to follow him wherever he goes. The man is the master and the cow is the slave.”
“Now watch this”, said Sankara and took a pair of scissors from his bag and cut the rope.
The cow ran away from the master and the man ran after his cow. “Look, what is happening”, said Sankara
_“Do you see who the Master is? The cow is not at all interested in this man. The cow in fact, is trying to escape from this man._
*This is the case with our MIND.*
Like the cow, all the non-sense that we carry inside is not interested in us. WE ARE INTERESTED IN IT, we are keeping it together somehow or the other. We are going crazy trying to keep it all together under our control.
The moment we lose interest in all the garbage filled in our head, and the moment we understand the futility of it, it will start to disappear. Like the cow, it will escape and disappear.”
*Feeling Free and Relaxed is a Choice!*
Moral story
Received this post, simply loved it.
Hence sharing..
In an ancient temple, a number of pigeons lived happily on roof top.
 When the renovation of the temple began for the annual temple feast the pigeons relocated themselves to a Church nearby.
The existing pigeons in the Church accommodated the new comers very well.
Christmas was nearing and the Church was given a facelift, All the pigeons had to move out and look for another place.
They were fortunate to find a place in a Mosque nearby, The pigeons in the Mosque welcomed them happily.
It was Ramadan time and the Mosque was repainted, All the pigeons now came to the same ancient temple.
One day the pigeons on top found some communal clashes below in a market square.
The baby pigeon asked the mother pigeon
"Who are these people ?
The mother replied; they are "Human beings".
The baby asked,
But why are they fighting with each other...?
The mother said "These human beings going to temple are called 'Hindus' and the people going to Church are called 'Christians' and the people going to Mosque are called 'Muslims'.
The Baby pigeon asked, "Why is it so? When we were in the Temple we were called Pigeons, when we were in the church we were called Pigeons and when we were in the Mosque, we were called Pigeons. Similarly they should be called just
'Human beings' wherever they go"?
The mother Pigeon said,
'You and me and our Pigeon friends have experienced God and that's why we are living here in a highly elevated place peacefully.
These people are yet to experience God.
Hence they are living below us and fighting and killing each other.
Importance of spiritual waiting
Sharing a beautiful explanation about Lord Shiva’s vehicle Nandi and meditation.
Generally, we see Nandi sitting directly opposite the main door of the temple where Shiva's idol or Shivalingam is located.
He is not waiting for him to come out and say something.
He is in waiting.
Nandi is a symbolism of eternal waiting, because waiting is considered the greatest virtue in Indian culture.
One who knows how to simply sit and wait is naturally meditative.
He is not expecting anything. He will wait forever.
Nandi is Shiva’s closest accomplice because he is the essence of receptivity.
Before you go into a temple, you must have the quality of Nandi - to simply sit.
So, just by sitting here, he is telling you, “When you go in, don’t do fanciful things.Don’t ask for this or that. Just go and sit like me."
The fundamental difference between Prayer & Meditation is that - Prayer means you are trying to talk to God. Meditation means you are willing to listen to God.
You are willing to just listen to existence, to the ultimate nature of creation.
You have nothing to say, you simply listen.
That is the quality of Nandi – he just sits, alert, not sleepy. He is not sitting passively. He is very active, full of alertness, full of life, but just being – that is Meditation🙏🏻
Pandavas and kaurvas
So beautifully explained....
It is said in the texts that 80% of the fighting male population of the civilization was wiped out in the eighteen days Mahabharata war.
Sanjay, at the end of the war went to the spot where the greatest war took place; Kurukshetra.
He looked around and wondered if the war really happened, if the ground beneath him had soaked all that blood, if the great Pandavas and Krishna stood where he stood.
“You will never know the truth about that!” said an aging soft voice.
Sanjay turned around to find an Old man in saffron robes appearing out of a column of dust.
“I know you are here to find out about the Kurukshetra war, but *you cannot know about that war till you know what the real war is about*.” the Old man said enigmatically.
“What do you mean?”
*The Mahabharata is an Epic, a ballad, perhaps a reality, but definitely a philosophy*.
The Old man smiled luring Sanjay into more questions.
“Can you tell me what the philosophy is then?”
Sanjay requested.
Sure, began the Old man.
*The Pandavas are nothing but your five senses*,
sight,
smell,
taste,
touch
and sound...,
and do you know what the *Kauravas* are?
 he asked narrowing his eyes.
 *The Kauravas are the hundred vices that attack your senses everyday but you can fight them*... and do you know how?
Sanjay shook his head again.
“When Krishna rides your chariot!”
The Old man smiled brighter and Sanjay gasped at that gem of insight.
*Krishna is your inner voice, your soul, your guiding light and if you let your life in his hands you have nothing to worry*.
Sanjay was stupefied but came around quickly with another question.
“Then *why are Dronacharya and Bhishma fighting for the Kauravas, if they are vices*?”
The Old man nodded, sadder for the question.
It just means that as you grow up, your perception of your elders change. *The elders who you thought were perfect in your growing up years are not all that perfect. They have faults. And one day you will have to decide if they are for your good or your bad.  Then you may also realize that you may have to fight them for the good. It is the hardest part of growing up and that is why the Geeta is important*.
Sanjay slumped down on the ground, not because he was tired but because he could understand and was struck by  the enormity of it all.
 *What about Karna*? he whispered.
“Ah!” said the Old man. “You have saved the best for last. *Karna is the brother to your senses, he is desire, he is a part of you but stands with the vices. He feels wronged and makes excuses for being with the vices as your desire does all the time.*
 *Does your desire not give you excuses to embrace vices*?”
Sanjay nodded silently. He looked at the ground, consumed with a million thoughts, trying to put everything together and then when he looked up the Old man was gone....
disappeared in the column of dust.........leaving behind the great philosophy of Life!
